Dunedin city commissioners and residents are so pleased with the success of the Jolley Trolley, they have decided to increase the frequency in which the trolley schedule runs from hourly to every half hour. The Jolley Trolley provides roundtrip services daily from Clearwater Beach to Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Ozona, and Tarpon Springs’ Sponge Docks.

Dunedin Re-Ups with Jolley Trolley with More Frequent Service
DUNEDIN — City commissioners are so happy with the popularity of Jolley Trolley’s coastal route service they hope the Tourist Development Council approves funding to allow the Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority to ferry passengers to the city every 30 minutes rather than hourly.
City Commissioners recently unanimously voted to renew its contract with PSTA.
Commissioners complimented the Trolley for ferrying many hundreds of tourists to the city and providing residents with a transportation alternative.
Under an agreement with PSTA, Jolley Trolley Transportation of Clearwater provides hourly roundtrip service daily from Clearwater Beach to Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Ozona, and Tarpon Springs’ Sponge Docks.
Regular cash fare is $2.25 or $1.10 for seniors and the disabled, with an unlimited daily ridership pass costing $5 or $2.50 for seniors and disabled.
Dunedin and Tarpon, along with Pinellas County funding service to unincorporated Palm Harbor and Ozona, each pay PSTA $41,352 for trolley service. Clearwater pays $15,951, with the PSTA chipping in more than $1 million.
Jolley Trolley started limited test runs in November 2010 on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Six years later the route was extended to a daily operation.
